Overview: The Future Of...
The three 2015 Foresight Seminars @ Oberlin will engage students in exploring the future of one of three critical issues: food, business and essential resources (e.g. energy, water). These topics were chosen not only for their urgency and relevance, but because Northeast Ohio possesses unique assets, initiatives and leaders that make the region an ideal laboratory for researching their history and current efforts to address them, across sectors, communities and disciplines.
Students will be positioned as social impact researchers, interviewing diverse practitioners, and synthesizing their findings into their own conclusions and recommendations that will answer the question: What is the future of food, business, or essential resources -- and how will they choose to participate in efforts to create change?
The Summer 2015 dates, application and tuition information, and deadlines will be available Fall 2014. Join our mailing list to be one of the first to receive updates!
